Ultrasonic Tomograph for Concrete

The most advanced MIRA configuration — real-time 3D imaging of what's inside concrete, from a single accessible face. Locate rebar, size voids and cracks, and measure thickness where you can only reach one side.

What it does

The A1040 MIRA 3D PRO builds a three-dimensional picture of the inside of a concrete element using low-frequency ultrasound — without cutting, coring or needing access to the far side. Its dry-point-contact transducer array couples straight onto rough or uneven surfaces, so you can inspect real structures in the field rather than lab samples.

Because it reconstructs the scan volume in real time, an inspector sees results on site and can immediately re-scan an area of interest, instead of waiting on post-processing back at the office.

Where it's used

  • Locating rebar, tendon ducts, anchors, cables and pipes — including elements below the first reinforcement layer.
  • Finding and sizing internal voids, honeycombing, delamination and inclusions in three dimensions.
  • Measuring element thickness from one side where the opposite face can't be reached.
  • Assessing bridges, tunnels, foundations, walls and slabs across construction and civil infrastructure.

Why inspectors choose it

Single-sided accessFull internal imaging from the one face you can actually reach on site.
Real-time 3DVolume reconstructed on the spot, so decisions happen at the structure, not later.
Works on rough surfacesSpring-suspended dry-contact transducers need no couplant or surface prep.
Extendable coverageCombine multiple array units to widen the aperture for larger inspections.
