What it does

MONOLITH uses low-frequency pulse-echo ultrasound to look inside concrete from a single surface. In its base configuration it works with dry-point-contact transducers for point-by-point thickness and defect readings; with the optional M2502 antenna array, it scans an area and builds a full 2D/3D image of what's beneath the surface — voids, delamination and reinforcement included.

Where it's used

  • Locating internal voids, honeycombing and delamination in concrete elements.
  • Thickness measurement of concrete slabs, walls and structural members.
  • Anchor-bolt and reinforcement condition assessment.
  • Structural surveys of bridges and civil infrastructure where an antenna-array scan is required.

Why inspectors choose it

Point or area scanningBase DPC probes for spot readings, optional array for full-area imaging.
Colour tomogram displayInterprets B-scan and C-scan results directly on the unit.
Field-proven pulse-echo coreThe same measurement principle used across ACS's concrete range.
Upgrade path to 3DThe M2502 antenna array turns MONOLITH into a 2D/3D imaging system.
