What it does

The A1410 PULSAR assesses concrete quality by measuring the velocity of an ultrasonic pulse travelling through the structure, correlating that velocity with the concrete's mechanical properties. Two dry-point-contact transducer arrays (7 elements each, in a daisy-wheel pattern) transmit and receive through up to 2 metres of concrete without any couplant, and the wear-resistant ceramic tips work reliably regardless of surface finish.

Where it's used

  • Compressive-strength evaluation of concrete structures on site.
  • Assessing load-carrying capacity of concrete columns and structural members.
  • Evaluating porosity, fissuring and anisotropy in concrete and composite materials.
  • General concrete uniformity and quality-compliance testing to international standards.

Why inspectors choose it

Couplant-freeCeramic DPC tips work dry — no gel, no surface prep.
Standards-compliantConforms to DIN EN 12504-4, BS 1881, ASTM C597 and IS 516.
Up to 2 m thru-transmissionReaches through substantial structural sections.
50,000-reading memoryStore and group results on site, transfer to PC via USB.
